Privacy Policy

FOOL the AI ("the App", "we", "us") is operated by Acasa Labs, based in India. This policy explains what data we process and why. We built the App to need as little personal data as possible — there are no accounts, names, or email sign-ups to play.

What we collect and why

• Anonymous device identifier. On first launch we generate a random device id and a security token stored on your device. We use these only to save your progress, stats, and streaks and to authenticate your requests. They are not linked to your real-world identity.
• Your answers and gameplay. The answers you type, the prompts shown, verdicts, scores, and timings are processed and stored to run the game and improve prompts. To evaluate whether an answer is creative, the text of your answer is sent to Anthropic (the Claude AI service) for assessment. Do not enter personal or sensitive information into answers.
• Purchases. Subscriptions (Season Pass) are processed by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status and a purchase token — never your full card or payment details.
• Advertising. We show rewarded ads via Google AdMob, which may use advertising identifiers and similar data to serve and measure ads. On iOS, personalized ads depend on your App Tracking Transparency choice; you can also adjust consent for personalized ads.
• Analytics. We use PostHog to record anonymous usage events (e.g. sessions started, rounds completed, ads watched) to understand and improve the game. We do not use this to identify you personally.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with the service providers needed to run the App, each under their own privacy terms:

• Anthropic (answer evaluation) — privacy policy
• Google AdMob (ads) — privacy policy
• RevenueCat (purchase management) — privacy policy
• Apple / Google (in-app purchase billing)
• PostHog (analytics) — privacy policy

International transfers

Some providers (including Anthropic, Google, and PostHog) process data on servers outside India, such as in the United States and the EU. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards.

Children

The App is intended for users aged 12 and over and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention

We keep gameplay and device data for as long as needed to run the game and for reasonable analytics, then delete or anonymize it. You can request deletion at any time (see below).

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act and the EU/UK GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data, or to withdraw consent. Because we hold no real-world identifiers, deletion requests are tied to your device. To make a request, email support@fooltheai.app.

Security

Your access token is stored only as a hash on our servers and sent over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

Changes

We may update this policy; we will revise the date above when we do. Material changes will be highlighted in the App where appropriate.
